Kelly Michelle Stables was born in St. Louis Missouri where she performed in The Muny Opera. She graduated cum laude from The University of Missouri Columbia with a BA in Communications and theater. When she moved from Missouri to Los Angeles, she became engaged in theater and began acting in and choreographing for over 2 dozen plays and musicals including The Little Foxes Brady Bunch at Thousand Oaks Civic Light Opera in addition to seven titles performances in the prize-winning Storybook Theatre. Kelly started landing films and TV roles when she learned improvisation, and later became an Theatre West company member. Kelly's distinct voice and diminutive dimensions have let her play a variety of character types. Her most well-known character is Naomi Watts' evil Samara in The Ring 2, but her best-known character is as the charming receptionist from Two and a Half Men. Kelly had a role as an ongoing series on TV Land's The Exes, where she was an ex-party-goer and a paralegal throughout the time of the day. Kelly also appeared in the role of Alyssa's smart, sassy sister in the ABC show Romantically Challenged and as the stressed-out suburban mom in the CW show No Tomorrow. She is known for her soaring soprano voice in a variety of cartoons. These include the cult show Doc McStuffins Tom & Jerry Sofia the First. She was most recently seen in the NBC's hit comedy Superstore as the dim, yet adorable Cloud 9 worker. She lives a quiet private life, with her husband, and their two little children and enjoys sewing writing as well as volunteering for school activities.
